Immediate support for individuals in emotional or psychiatric crisis. We assess, stabilize, and connect you with the next appropriate level of care — whether that's continued inpatient treatment or outpatient follow-up.
Psychiatric medication evaluation, initiation, and ongoing management by licensed providers. We use a collaborative, evidence-based approach to find the regimen that works for you with minimal side effects.
One-on-one counseling using modalities such as CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing. Therapy is integrated into every phase of treatment and continues through your discharge plan.
Facilitated group sessions that build coping skills, emotional regulation, and peer support. Groups address diagnosis-specific topics, relapse prevention, and life skills development.
Recovery doesn't end at discharge. We coordinate with outpatient providers, families, and community resources to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of care after you leave.
Perimeter Behavioral Hospital has served Springfield and the surrounding Ozarks community for over three decades. What began as a small psychiatric facility has grown into a full-service inpatient hospital recognized for clinical excellence, compassionate care, and a patient-centered philosophy.
We treat adults (18 and older) experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, substance use co-occurring conditions, and other psychiatric illnesses. Our multidisciplinary team — psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, licensed therapists, and registered nurses — collaborates on every treatment plan.
We combine the latest clinical research with genuine human connection. Recovery is not a one-size-fits-all process — and neither is our treatment.
Upon admission, our clinical team conducts a thorough psychiatric, medical, and psychosocial evaluation. This assessment forms the foundation of your individualized treatment plan.
Your psychiatrist and treatment team develop a plan that may include medication, individual and group therapy, psychoeducation, and recreational therapy — all tailored to your diagnosis and goals.
You participate in daily structured programming designed to stabilize symptoms, build coping skills, and address the root causes of your distress in a safe, supportive environment.
Before discharge, we coordinate with your outpatient providers, prescribe follow-up appointments, and provide written aftercare instructions so you leave with a clear recovery roadmap.
We treat adults (18+) experiencing a range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, and substance use co-occurring conditions. Length of stay varies depending on the individual's condition and treatment response. Most inpatient stays range from 5 to 14 days, though some patients may require a longer stay. Our goal is always to discharge as soon as it is clinically safe — not a day too early, not a day too late.
Absolutely. We encourage family involvement in the treatment process. Visitation hours and guidelines are provided during admission, and we also offer family therapy sessions as part of the treatment plan when appropriate.
